Up and Running on Etsy....Sort of!

My plan was to create a beautifully magnificent website full of perfectly fluffy princess tutus....This takes time and lots of it! So, in the mean time I have heeded the advice of many and not only created this amazing blog but also spent some time creating an Etsy website! Yay!

As Kristi Caggiano, owner of Miracle Haven, put it best in her Facebook post earlier this morning, "Believe it or not 1 tutu can be very different from another!"

This is EXACTLY why I love creating these so much! 1 minute I'm finishing up a "Perfectly Pink Ribbon Tutu" and the next I am working on a custom ordered Red & Black Pirate Tutu for a flower girl to wear in a wedding- more on that later!

Rarely do I create 2 tutus that are the same, unless that is of course they are orders!

Celebrating America's 233rd Birthday!

With the 4th of July coming up in a few weeks, Juju's Tutus has gotten into the spirit with some really cute designs!

These will be in the shop at Miracle Haven tomorrow and will also be available online at www.2littlemonkeys.com. How exciting!

The Firecracker Tutu is a layered tutu with a layer of Cherry Red tulle on top, White Tulle in the middle and Navy Blue Tulle on the bottom. Metallic Gold, Silver. Blue and Red Stars adorn the top layer of Cherry Red tulle. The elastic waistband is wrapped with Royal Blue Satin Ribbon and then tied into a beautiful bow.

The Star Spangled Tutu Dress can be worn either as a tutu style halter dress using the Cherry Red Satin Ribbon or pulled down on the hips and worn as an extra long tutu skirt...very versatile! This tutu is made up of 3 layers of extra long tulle placed around the waistband to represent our "stars and stripes". Metallic Gold and Silver 1" Stars adorn the Navy Blue tulle. The skirt also features a patriotic Red, White and Blue Grosgrain ribbon tied into a beautiful bow in the back.

Empire Waist Tutu Dresses

I LOVE these! They are so unique and so beautiful on! In all honesty when I began making them last year I completely underestimated the amount of time and skill level that it would take to actually make one look GOOD....several didn't! :(

Now that I've made a couple dozen, I'm confident that I have mastered my technique...that is until I find something new to add to them!

These dresses make such great Flower Girl Dresses, props for Children's Portraits and even are great to wear for everyday dress up. In face my best friend's little girl requested a "Belle" dress for her birthday back in March, just to play dress up in. Well, her wish was granted! I'll try and post a picture of her in it soon. It turned out really well! And don't forget what amazingly cute costumes these will make come fall!

The Empire Waist Tutu Dresses are hand crafted from yards and yards and yards of apparel quality (and sometimes bridal quality) tulle. There are 2 different elastic waistbands, one at the top and the other that creates the Empire Waist. Both elastics are wrapped with coordinating satin ribbons. The dresses can be worn strapless, as a halter or with spaghetti straps, depending on how it is customized. Flowers can also be added to the top of the dress, around the empire waistband, on the bows or throughout the skirt attached to the tulle.

If you can dream it, I can do my best to make it! In fact we've had requests for "Tiffany Blue" tulle and actually found it!

After almost 1 year of being in 2 fabulous boutiques, Juju's Tutus is venturing into the world of online retail! It's been a lot longer of a process than I thought, but it's all been worth it. While we are busily putting our website together, I thought I'd give you a sneak peek at some of the great things that we have in store.
